It’s not about my lifetime experience with dance, bodies, and movement.
It’s not about my desire to help people.
And it’s not about my approach to designing your training specifically around your body and your needs, recognising you as a person instead of a number in a class.
What it is about is my love for the underdog; for the person who’s put themselves last for a long time. The person totally down on their luck and fed up. The person who thinks that they can’t achieve.
There are more of us out there than we realise.
But to those battlers and fighters who finally muster up that last little bit of energy and courage to reach out? To those willing to take a chance and get moving again, setting goals and achieving what you never thought you could?
I see you. And I promise to help you realise that you can.
As an unfortunate result of oversimplified (and sometimes misdirected) marketing, there’s a perception that Pilates is primarily for women. But the truth is, Pilates is for everyone.
All you need is… you.
It’s no wonder we’re all so easily deceived, though – a quick Google search for Pilates will return images of lean supermodels gracefully lying on a reformer bed.
But the REALITY? That’s what Body2Soul embraces.
And the reality is this.
… and so much more.
Pilates is about whole-body health, not just about movement (although I’ve listed a heap of physical benefits below).
It’s also about easing pain, improving mental health, and achieving what we didn’t think possible. For me, there’s no bigger honour than supporting clients:
Build core muscle strength (abdomen, hips, lower back, butt and thighs)
Sculpt and tone
Rehabilitate injury
Relieve tension and manage pain
Increase confidence
Promote mindfulness
Increase muscle length and stretchability
Improve posture
Increase energy levels
Promote weight loss
Prevent injury
PS It’s nothing like Yoga!
Globally, Polestar represents the pinnacle of Pilates education (it’s genuinely our industry’s version of Gucci).
My qualifications include:
So… what does this really mean for you?
Polestar means customised programs across Mat, Reformer and other apparatus
Correcting the root cause ensures you progress in the short term while also acting as a preventative over the long-term – and a truly transformative experience.
Physical assessments that are science-based
Regain your functional movement and alleviate pain with a custom rehab-focused program
A holistic approach that looks beyond the physical
I go beyond what’s visible (hence the initial consultation and my love of a good chat) to recognise you psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually as well as physically.
Understanding the cause of your injury or pain
Instead of treating a problem (only for it to return down the track), I identify what caused it in the first place before identifying the best corrective methods.
Results from pilates programs specific to you
Whether you’re training solo or with others, you’ll follow custom exercise programs designed specifically for your needs and with clear outcomes in mind.

I began dancing at the age of two…
… and enjoyed a 15-year professional dance career. During my downtime I taught children and adults as a freelance dance teacher in the public school system, as well as at private dance schools and colleges
Followed by babies, beauty and electrical…
Marriage, two children, and a Diploma in Beauty Therapy later, I quickly realised a career as a beautician wasn’t for me.
I loved life as an electrician (yep, from beauty to a lady tradie!). But the physical aspects of the role quickly took their toll on my lower back, particularly after a long dancing career and two pregnancies.
And that’s how I found myself in a Pilates rehab studio.
And then rehab
From day one I was hooked.
Pilates was key to physically rehabbing my injury, freeing me from constant back pain. My mental health and well-being improved at the same time.
A light was lit inside me when my (incredible) Pilates instructor encouraged me to become a practitioner myself (she’s now my mentor). It all made sense.
Dancing had given me an existing understanding of how the body moves.
Instructing was returning me to my true love of teaching.
And after gaining the best level of education from Polestar Pilates, I was turning my passion for using Pilates to get people moving, feeling strong and pain free, into a reality.
The rest, as they say, is history.
I’m still writing my reality with Body2Soul Pilates. Located in the gorgeous Hawkesbury region, it’s a boutique home studio that ensures I give 100% to clients individually, as opposed to larger group sessions.
My focus is on improving and maintaining functional movement. After all – as the old saying goes, it you don’t use it, you’ll lose it!
Friendly, patient & gentle guided instruction while pushing you to improve your strength and flexibility. I feel taller after every class 😉
Kym is a fantastic pilates instructor. She knows your limits and will push you to do your best all while focusing working your body to the best of your ability. Plus she’s lovely and makes the class fun. I highly recommend Body2Soul Pilates.
Just finished an amazing online class with Kym. Just what I needed to lift my mood and reconnect with my body. I feel wonderful! Thank you 🙏
